A cataract is the clouding of the lens inside the eye. This often happens over many years. A change in glasses prescription my help address symptoms during the early stages of cataract formation, but cataract surgery may be your long-term solution.
At Eye Physicians and Surgeons, we believe in staying at the forefront of advancements in cataract surgery techniques. We utilize small incision, sutureless, microsurgical techniques to remove your cloudy lens and replace it with a clear artificial lens implant. We offer the latest in implant lens technology as well as intra-operative ORA technology to aid in lens selection.
-
In the weeks, months, and years following cataract surgery, cells in the eye may collect on the artificial lens and cause clouding or blurring of your vision. This is a common event for patients who have completed cataract surgery.
Our optometrists are experienced and qualified to diagnose your secondary cataracts. Dr. Watts, our ophthalmologist, is skilled in clearing secondary cataracts using an in-office, outpatient laser procedure called YAG capsulotomy.

Dry Eye has several causes, the most common of which is dysfunction of the oil producing glands along the eyelids. These glands become clogged, leading to symptoms of burning, irritation, and blurred vision.
We are proud to offer several elective treatments to address these symptoms. You may consider LipiFlow to trigger expression of the oil glands, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to target specific problem areas of inflammation and blockage, or serum tears to provide hydration and comfort.

Glaucoma is a disease of the optic nerve that causes blind spots and vision loss. Glaucoma is often caused by increased intraocular pressure. When the fluid between the cornea and lens does not drain properly, pressure builds in the eye and causes damage to the optic nerve.
The staff here at Eye Physicians & Surgeons are experienced in treating glaucoma. You may begin taking prescription drops or consider a laser procedure to relieve pressure.

The macula is responsible for keeping fine details sharp and colors vibrant. When the macula does not function correctly, central vision can become blurry or distorted.
Here at Eye Physicians & Surgeons, we have several treatment options available, including monitoring disease progression and medication injections.
